The lack of flu shot serum we are now facing exposes the total inadequacy of government involvement. We can thank Sens. Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins and Hillary Clinton for this debacle.
When pharmaceutical companies are subjected to government regulations, we all suffer. By making flu shots a government concern, a freebie if you will, the pharmaceutical companies have chosen not to participate. Therefore, we are faced with a shortage.
Look at what Medicare has done to the medical insurance industry. We do not have choices any longer. We are forced into Medicare. Medicare is horribly mismanaged and makes second class citizens of us all.
We all could do with less government and more enterprise.
