The Sun Journal editorial about the bear cub could have been better (Dec. 17). A much better editorial would have been one wondering where our game wardens were, along with the biologists, when the little bear was in such desperate straits.
The little fella was to soon die either from starvation or getting hit by a car or truck. I applaud what the lady did for the cut when it had no one else.
The bear seems to be about the size of a bear born in June. It was not only born abnormally late, but I feel someone shot its mother.
It is now imprinted on humans so will become a nuisance bear if released next spring. So, it’s the game farm for him.
