BETHEL – The Bethel Historical Society’s sixth annual New Year’s Bethel will begin at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, with a Watch Night Ecumenical Service at the Congregational Church. A 6 p.m. lighted vehicle parade and dildren’s parade will be followed by five venues from 7 to 11:45 p.m. There will also be horse and wagon rides, marshmallow roasting, fireworks, a food court and a New Year’s countdown.

Various levels of tax deductible sponsorships are still available. An Event Venue Sponsor is available for $750 or more. Supporting Sponsors are those who make gifts at the $250 level, with Friends at $100, and Contributors at any amount below $100.

All sponsorship contributions should be directed to the Bethel Historical Society, P.O. Box 12, Bethel, ME 04217.

Tickets for the evening are available ($10 adults, $8 children ages 6 to 18 in advance or $12 and $10 at the door) at a number of outlets around town, the Bethel Area Chamber of Commerce, Bethel Citizen, Bethel Inn and Country Club, Maine Line Products of Locke Mills, Newry Town Office and the Bethel Historical Society.
