1935 – 2003

LEWISTON – Reta M. Holt, 68, of Mechanic Falls died Tuesday, Dec. 23, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Calais on Nov. 12, 1935, the daughter of Daniel and Hazel Greenlaw Fitzsimmons. She attended local schools and had been a homemaker all of her life.

She had been employed at Poland Spring Inn for several years. She enjoyed camping, crafts, crocheting and was devoted to her family. She married Robert Holt on April 15, 1953. He died on Feb. 1, 2001.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Wilson and her husband Alan of Mechanic Falls and Sharon Winslow and her husband Mike of Poland; a son, Jeff and his wife Nancy of Mechanic Falls; seven grandchildren, Alan Wilson Jr., Katie and Riley Bryant, Michael Winslow Jr., Michael Girouard, Samantha Holt and Anthony Holt; three great-grandchildren, Cole and Ainsley Bryant and James Robert Winslow; and a sister, Hazel Griffin of North Carolina.

She was predeceased by her husband; a son, Robbie; three brothers, Frank, Gary and Don; and five sisters, Thelma, Betty, Jackie, Melva and Pauline.
