MEXICO – The Senior Choir of the Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, is inviting the public to share “the reason for the season” in a musical setting of the cantata “Comfort and Joy” by Lloyd Larson and Pamela Martin.

It’s a combination of singing and narration telling the Christmas story. It will be performed on Wednesday, Dec. 24, as part of the Christmas Eve worship service at 11 p.m. For many years, “The Green Church” has had a late evening Christmas Eve service that ends with the candlelight singing of “Silent Night” and the ringing of the steeple bell at midnight to ring in Christmas day.
