1914 – 2003

LEWISTON – Myron A. Phillips Sr., 89, of South Livermore, died early Friday morning, Dec. 26, at St. Mary’s Hospital.

He was born Oct. 30, 1914, in Leeds, a son of James A. and Emily A. (Rose) Phillips. He attended Livermore Falls schools graduating from Livermore Falls High School.

On Sept. 14, 1940, he married Arlene Hunt. She died in 1997.

Mr. Phillips worked as a young man at Bailey Bros. garage in Livermore Falls. He later worked at Bailey Furniture until he went into business for himself owning and operating Bailey’s in Livermore Falls where he repaired televisions and radios and also sold bottled gas.

He enjoyed going for rides and geneology.

He is survived by a son, Myron Phillips Jr., and his wife Bernice of South Livermore; a daughter, Rose Phillips of Pawtucket, R.I.; a brother James Phillips Jr., and his wife Norma of East Livermore; a sister, Ruth Merrill of Hampton, N.H.; a grandson, Mark Phillips and his wife Carrie of South Livermore; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister, Olive Mae Belle Phillips.
