1912 – 2003

AUBURN – Dorothy Mae Turner, 91, went home to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ, Saturday, Dec. 27, at Clover Manor. She passed peacefully with her daughter Esther and granddaughter Susan by her side.

She was born in Freeport, Oct. 4, 1912, a daughter of Isadora Stevens and Augustus Bragdon. She was a graduate of Edward Little High School. For many years she worked in Auburn shoe shops. She and her husband Printice moved to Florida in the early 60s and she worked for the Florida State University in Tallahassee until her retirement in 1980.

She loved to travel and enjoyed her summers in Maine with her family.

She was a devoted Nazarene all of her life. For the past several years she had made her residence with both of her beloved children, Esther Field and her husband Ray of Green, and David Turner and his wife Joyce of Mechanic Falls.

She was predeceased by her husband Printice in 1989; and one sister, Alice Dyer.

She is survived by her loving family, including one son, David Turner and his wife Joyce of Mechanic Falls; two daughters, Esther Field and her husband Ray of Green, and Ruth Bailey and her husband William of New York; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
