He was born in Lewiston Aug. 10, 1942, a son of Alfred and Nellie Chisholm Karpowich.

He was an educated man with great ideas. He was a loving son, brother and father. He loved to work with his hands, and was a master builder and innovator. Mr. Karpowich was a very competent and well-respected builder in the area. He was extremely passionate about the outdoors; he enjoyed downhill skiing, water skiing and camping.
