1919-2003

AUBURN – Doris Pauline Davis Flynn, 84, of 10 Surry Lane, Lewiston, died Sunday, Dec. 28, at Clover Comfort Care.

She was born in Lewiston on July 8, 1919, the daughter of Harris W. and Eva D. (Johnson) Davis. She was educated in Auburn schools and graduated from Edward Little High School, class of 1936.

She was the widow of Raymond F. Flynn whom she married in May of 1939 and who died in September of 1998.

Mrs. Flynn was a waitress at Andy’s Lunch for several years and later worked at Bates Manufacturing Co. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by: her daughter, Patricia Swett of Standish; her two sons, David Flynn and his wife, Jane, of Lyman and Timothy Flynn of Lewiston; her 11 grandchildren, Dan, Scott, and Cindy Swett, Steve, Wendy, Kevin, Eric, and Michael Flynn, Jennifer, Heather, and B.G. Chabot; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her son Michael F. Flynn, her brother Lawrence K. Davis, and by her sister Florence Raithel.
