1921 – 2003
NORWAY – Abigail Mary Buswell, 82, of Bethel, died in Norway Dec. 31.
Born in Greenwood, Sept. 21, 1921, the daughter of John and Florence Gill, she was educated in local schools and graduated from Gould Academy. She later attended Fannie Farmer School of Cooking in Boston.
She married Eugene Buswell in 1950, and he died in 1988. She was a member of the OES, American Legion Auxiliary and Rebecahs, all of Bethel and a member of the grange. She had been a foster mother for many years. She was a friend to everybody she met. She enjoyed her family, friends and especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, Harry John Buswell and his wife, Wanda of Conway, N.H., and Paul Buswell and his wife, Eulalie of Oxford; three daughters, Alison Crowell and her husband, Wilbur of Bethel, Brenda Stevens and her husband, Harry of West Paris and Nancy Buswell of Norway; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
