1956 – 2004
LEWISTON – Jeffrey A. Pickens, 47, a resident of Warren Road, Monmouth, died suddenly Friday, Jan. 2 at Central Maine Medical Center.
He was born in Port Hueneme, Calif. on Sept. 3, 1956, the son of Luman C. and Dorothy M. Trial Pickens. He attended the schools of Winthrop and was a 1975 graduate of Kents Hill. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1975 to 1977.
On March 7, 1993, he married Emily Fitzpatrick in Lewiston. He worked as a construction laborer and was also a talented guitarist. He was a member of the Guilford Mason Lodge and the Kora Shriners of Lewiston.
He is survived by his mother of Winthrop; his wife of Monmouth; two daughters, Jessica Pickens of Puerto Rico, and Dorothy Pickens of Guilford; a son, Aric Pickens of Rockland; three step-sons, Joseph Fitzpatrick of Boston, Michael Fitzpatrick of Portland, and Eric Fizpatrick of Monmouth; a sister, Denaige Blaisdell and her husband Richard of Leeds; and a niece, Amy Blaisdell.
