LEWISTON – Bradley M. Belanger, 68, of West Poland died peacefuly Sunday morning, Jan. 4, at Central Maine Medical Center. He spent his last few days surrounded by his family, and celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary with his wife Jaqueline on Jan. 2.

The son of Albert Belanger and Marjorie Perkins Roy, Brad was born and raised in Oxford. He moved his young family to Connecticut, where he was a machinist at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft. He and his wife later owned and operated Belanger’s Market in West Poland before establishing Belanger Realty.

Brad was a sports enthusiast and longtime member of Summit Golf Course. He was also a member of American Legion Post 150 and the Moose Lodge of Zephyrhills, Fla.

Survivors include: his wife, Jackie; son, Scott and wife, Deborah, of Portland; daughter, Terry and husband, Bob Pomerleau, of West Poland; six grandchildren, Craig, Nicole, Ryan and Bo Belanger, and Sarah and Jen Bunker; brothers Albert of Las Vegas, Nev., and Thomas of Norway; and stepmother, Louise Belanger of Oxford.

Following Brad’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Family and friends may call at the Weston-Chandler Funeral Home, 26 West Dwinal Street, Mechanic Falls, Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Memorial gifts may be sent to the American Lung Association of Maine, 122 State Street, Augusta, Me., 04330.
