RUMFORD – The SAD 43 board is expected to ratify a three-year contract with the district’s nutrition services bargaining unit on Monday.
The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. in the library of Mountain Valley High School.
The most recent three-year contract for the unit’s 22 employees expired June 30. Details on the contract are not available until both sides agree.
The board also plans to meet in a closed session to review the educational technician and secretary bargaining unit contracts. Those expire June 30.
A second closed session is scheduled for a disciplinary hearing for a Mountain Valley Middle School student.
In public session, the board will learn of the planned retirement at the end of the school year of 21-year teaching veteran Jo-Ann MacDougall, who teaches first grade at Meroby Elementary School.
Also, the board will vote on a request to allow a trip to Washington, D.C., in April for a high school social studies class and act on several revised or new district policies.
Reports on recent activities and other events will be given by high School Principal Bruce Lindberg, Middle School Principal Charles Lever and Special Services Director Paige Coville.
