Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Disciplinary Perfect Maurice Filion announced on Monday the final suspensions resulting from the Lewiston Maineiacs game on Dec. 27 against the Baie-Comeau Drakkar.

According to a release on the league Web site, Baie-Comeau coach Martin Laperriere will be suspended for a total of 10 games for his role in the melee. The total comes from eight additional games after automatically serving two last week.

Jimmy Arsenault, already serving six games for leaving his bench during an altercation, will receive no more disciplinary action. Luis Tremblay will receive one additional game for “a lack of respect and reprehensible gestures towards the fans and the opposing team.”

No Lewiston Maineiacs were suspended, but the team did receive a $500 fine because Gabriel Balasescu left the bench and jumped onto the ice.

Baie-Comeau was fined $1,000 for the same infraction. All fines and suspensions are retroactive to the date on which they occurred.
