SOUTH BARRE, Vt. (AP)- A Vergennes woman has claimed $2,084,503 she won after picking the winning numbers in last week’s Tri-State Megabucks drawing.

Madelyne Wight had the winning ticket verified by Vermont Lottery officials on Monday.

Wight did not immediately identify herself to officials after she learned of her win in last week’s drawing.

She bought the ticket at Vergennes Variety.

Lottery officials said the store will receive a $30,000 bonus for selling Wight her winning ticket.

Wight has played Megabucks for 20 years.

She plans to buy a new house and car, as well as consult with a financial adviser about how to invest her winnings.

“I guess I won’t believe it’s real until I spend a few hours on a little shopping spree,” Wight said on Monday.
