GARDINER – Joe Lee drained 21 points as Lewiston rolled past Gardiner 65-41 in boys’ basketball action Tuesday evening.
Nick Beauchesne chipped in with 11 points for the Blue Devils (3-3). Bryant Bryce chipped in with six points, nine rebounds, and six assists.
Sean McNally notched a game-high 25 points for the Tigers (0-6).
Madison 66, Telstar 61
MADISON – Despite making only three of 20 foul shots in the fourth quarter, Madison hung on for a 66-61 victory over Telstar Tuesday night.
Madison (4-4) was paced by Randy McMullen with 21 points and Matt Stewart with 16. Telstar (5-3) was led by Sean Caddigan with 25 points and August Reiss with 18.
Mt. View 53, Oak Hill 43
WALES – Roy Goodale scored a game-high 20 points as Mt. View defeated Oak Hill 53-43 in KVAC action Tuesday night.
Matt Higgins chipped in with 12. Oak Hill’s leading scorer was Adam Labbe and Troy Tracy who scored 15 points each.
Boothbay 49, Livermore Falls 46
BOOTHBAY – Josh Sceviour netted a 3-pointer with seconds remaining in the contest to lift Boothbay to a 49-46 victory over Livermore Falls in basketball action Tuesday.
Mike Norton drained a game-high 23 points, while Sceviour chipped in with 10 for the Seahawks’ triumph.
The Andies (5-3) were led by Brad Bryant with 16 points. Levi Armandi and Mike Chamard each added nine points a piece.
Georges Valley 67, Lisbon 44
THOMASTON – Brett Hutchinson poured in 23 points to lead Georges Valley to a dominating 67-44 win over Lisbon in MVC basketball Tuesday evening.
David Wilgus recorded 15 points and seven assists for the Buccaneers (8-1).
Lisbon was paced by Chris Kates with 13 points.
Brunswick 69, Mt. Ararat 55
BRUNSWICK – Ralph Mimms poured in a career-high 34 points, pulled down 11 rebounds and made five assists to lead Brunswick to a 69-55 victory over Mt. Ararat in a KVAC basketball matchup Tuesday.
The only Brunswick player to reach double figures, Mimms also nailed six 3-pointers in a stellar performance.
Tyler Bode led the scoring effort for the Eagles (5-2) with 16 points, while Andy Cantrell chipped in with 14 and Colin Meyn added 13.
Monmouth 59, Carrabec 51
MONMOUTH – Mark Wade drained 28 points Tuesday night to propel Monmouth to a narrow 59-51 victory over Carrabec in an MVC boys’ basketball matchup.
The Mustangs (1-7) earned their first win of the season with 21 steals. Wade was the only Monmouth player to reach double digits.
Josh Turner led the scoring effort for the Cobras (0-9) with 23 points, while Brandon Coutts chipped in with 16.
Mt. Blue 75, Medomak Valley 43
FARMINGTON – Brian Wells netted 24 points and pulled down 16 rebounds to lead Mt. Blue to a 75-43 KVAC win over Medomak Valley in boys’ basketball action.
Brian Simpson chipped in for the Cougars (6-1) with 13 points.
Matt MacKenzie led the offensive attack for the Panthers with 12 points, while Justin Rice contributed with 10.
Hall-Dale 63, Wiscasset 41
FARMINGDALE – Matt Wheelock scored a game-high 14 points as Hall-Dale cruised past Wiscasset 63-41 Tuesday evening.
Conrad Griffin was high man for the Redskins with 14 points.
Greater Portland 84, Eastgate 67
NEW GLOUCESTER – Andy Foss sank 21 points to lead Greater Portland Christian Academy to a triumphant 84-67 win over Eastgate Christian Academy Tuesday evening.
Kevin Schooley notched 17 points, while Jamie Trudel added 15 for the Greater Portland (3-2) win.
Eastgate (1-5) was paced by Aaron Anderson with 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Nate Damm chipped in with 22 points.
Mt. Abram 68, Dirigo 54
SALEM – Jordan Norton’s 19 points paved the way for Mt. Abram as the Roadrunners stopped Dirigo short, claiming a 68-54 win Tuesday.
Eric Field added 14 points and nine rebounds, while Frank Hayes added 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Roadrunners (3-5).
Brandon Berry and Craig Langeruin each netted nine points a piece for the Cougars (1-6).
Poland 55, G-NG 52
GRAY – Max Levine notched 19 points as Poland barely slipped past Gray/New Gloucester, capturing a 55-52 victory Tuesday evening.
Josh Pomerleau chipped in with 15 points for the Knights (4-4). Poland overcame an early deficit of 15 points in the first quarter.
Louie Bernardini and Ralf Spanheimer combined for 33 points for the Patriots (2-6).
Hebron 73, Elan 49
HEBRON – Christian Mosley scored 15 points as Hebron topped Elan 73-49 in a boys’ basketball game Tuesday evening.
Ari Paschal added 15 and Kenny Richard scored 13 for Hebron (3-4). Elan (4-2) was led by Albert Simone with 14.
