AUBURN – The Young At Heart group met at the Court Street Baptist Church for a meeting, devotionals, luncheon and program recently. Several members are artists and paint together in a group called “Charlie’s Angels.”

Member Nancy Conant of Turner arranged for a program with artist Barbara Hathaway of Wilton giving a demonstration of the wet-on-wet technique of oil painting. Hathaway made a landscape composition with a sunset, mountain and water reflections. Slides were shown of her art in several mediums.

The artists teaches watercolor art, pastels, oil painting, mosaic tile art and illustrating children’s books at the Auburn and Farmington adult education programs in the spring and fall.
