OXFORD – A rear-end crash on Skeetfield Road early Wednesday night damaged two vehicles, but did not injure the drivers.

Oxford police Sgt. Rickie Jack said Suzie J. Files, 44, of Oxford stopped at the intersection of Route 26, started to proceed and stopped again. Her 1989 Pontiac sedan was struck from behind by George A. Hanscom, 53, of Casco, he said.

Neither driver was hurt, nor was Files’ husband, Peter, who was riding with her.

Damage to Hanscom’s 2001 Chevrolet SUV was estimated at $150; to Files’ car $650.

Fire department members directed traffic at the 5:50 p.m. scene.
