1914 – 2004
LEWISTON – Emerson S. (Jim) Clark, 89, of Wentzell Road, Litchfield died Monday, Jan. 5, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Portsmouth, N.H., Jan. 15, 1914, a son of Hebert W. and Ethel (Critcherson) Clark. He attended South Eliot schools. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II in the South Pacific.
In 1945, “Jim” married the former Ferne Judkins of Elliot. He retired from the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in 1965. He lived for several years in Kittery, Elliot and Norway before moving to Litchfield in 1987.
He was a life long member of the D.A.V., a member of The Senior Citizens of Litchfield, and The Good Sam Camping Organization.
He leaves two beloved friends, Roger Bouley and his companion Sue Sawyer of Litchfield; two half-brothers, Fred Huntress of Florida, and Dale Huntress of Gorham; two half-sisters, Frances Noyes of California, and Althea Schneider of Madison.
