Georges Valley’s Heather Rotz tallied a game-high 14 points.

The pesky Bucs (1-9) held the lead until the middle of the third quarter, when the Roadrunners (8-2) finally took control.

Gorham 67, Poland 29

POLAND – Ashley Towle drained a game-high 20 points to lead Gorham to a 67-29 win over Poland in WMC basketball action Friday evening.

The Rams built a commanding 36-12 lead at the end of the first half behind the shooting of Towle, Laura Popovich, and Elizabeth Beagle, who added 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Mindy Thomas led the Knights (1-9) with 11 points.

Telstar 44, Lisbon 30

BETHEL – Krystle Gould scored 13 points to lead Telstar to a 44-30 win over Lisbon in girls’ basketball action Friday evening.

The Rebels (7-2) used a 14-6 advantage in the third period to put the game out of reach.

The Greyhounds were led by Dominique Mathieu and Soleil Mathieu, who combined for 15 points.

Wiscassett 74,

Livermore Falls 48

WISCASSETT – Sarah Whitfield drained 27 points, including four 3-pointers, to spark Wiscassett to a 74-48 win over Livermore Falls.

Kristen Pierce chipped in with 15 points for the Redskins (7-2).

Karyn Flagg led the Andies (2-7) with 11 points.

Dirigo 61, Monmouth 10

MONMOUTH – Brooke Weston scored 15 points and Alexa Kaubris added 10 points as Dirigo cruised to a 61-10 MVC victory over Monmouth Friday evening.

The Cougars received scoring production from all 11 players.

Messalonskee 43,

Oxford Hills 36

SOUTH PARIS – Amanda Barker scored 16 points to lift Messalonskee to a 43-36 win over Oxford Hills.

Jen Lettenberger added 11 points for the Eagles (4-2).

Linda Pellitier tallied 10 points for the Vikings (3-4).

Rangeley 57, Valley 38

RANGELEY – Krysteen Romero drained a game-high 23 points, hauled down 10 rebounds and swiped eight balls to lead Rangeley to a 57-38 win Valley in a battle of unbeaten teams in girls’ basketball action Friday evening.

The Lakers (6-0) broke out to a 30-25 lead at the end of the first half behind the hot shooting of Romero, while Sabrina Clark (13 points) and Sarah Schrader (10 points) helped put the game out of reach in the second half.

Valley was paced by Kristin Baker’s 18 points and Lauretta Fitzmaurice who finished with 13 points.

Kents Hill 57, Hebron 20

HEBRON – Olivia Clukey scored 19 points to lead Kents Hill to a 57-20 victory over Hebron Friday afternoon.

Kents Hill built a 27-point lead by halftime.

Maddy Campbell scored nine points for Hebron.

Cony 76, Leavitt 43

TURNER – Katie Rollins poured in a game-high 27 points to direct unbeaten Cony to a 76-43 win over Leavitt.

The Rams (8-0) were in control from the start, building a 30-point cushion by halftime.

Brianna Rende chipped in with 15 points and four rebounds.

Annie Dyer and Brittany Duncan combined for 15 points for the Hornets (0-8).

Traip 51, St. Dom’s 42

AUBURN – Kasey Connor scored 15 points to lead Traip to a 51-42 win over St. Dom’s Friday.

The Rangers (7-2) reversed a 22-16 halftime deficit by outscoring the Saints (2-5) by 12 points in the third quarter.

Brittany Gilbert recorded a team-high 14 points for the Saints, while Abby Gilbert nailed four 3 pointers for 12 points in the loss.

Mt. Blue 59,

Edward Little 35

FARMINGTON – Freshman center Christina Mosher scored 25 points to send Mt. Blue to a 59-35 win over Edward Little Friday evening.

The Cougars (4-4) stepped up the pace in the second quarter with a 20-3 run for the defining frame in the contest.

Freshman Brittney French led the Red Eddies (1-7) with 13 points.
