1923 – 2004

FARMINGTON – Dorothy M. Ouellette, 81, died Monday morning, Jan. 12, at Franklin Memorial Hospital following a long illness.

She was born on Jan. 6, 1923, in Jay, the daughter of George and Rose Chenard Constant and the beloved wife of Norman W. Ouellette for 56 years. Mrs. Ouellette graduated from Jay High School, Class of 1940, and attended St. Mary’s School of Nursing.

The Ouellettes married on June 6, 1947, and lived for many years in Jay and Livermore Falls until failing health brought them to Parkview Nursing Home, Montello Manor and most recently to Sandy River Nursing Home.

She worked for many years in Dr. Perron’s office and at the Health Center. She greatly enjoyed cooking for her family and was famous for “Dot’s Fudge.” She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay.

Besides her husband, she leaves behind four children, Constance and her husband Raymond Winship of Fairfield, George Ouellette and his wife Lillian of Lewiston, Susan and her husband Daniel Mancine of Jay and Doreen and her husband Gilbert Bellmore of Livermore Falls; eight grandchildren, Scott Winship and his wife, Dr. Jennifer Taniguichi, Daniel Winship, Christopher Winship, Michael Ouellette, Roni Lynn Phillips and her husband Shoam, Stacey Koloski and her husband Daniel, Jason Mancine and Aimee LeBlanc; three great-grandchildren, Emily and Kristen Ouellette and Madison Phillips; three sisters, Mildred Donovan of Auburn, Lauraine Bergeron of Grandby, Mass., and Gertrude LaBrecque of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; four dear cousins, Elaine Chenard, Rose Andrews, Lorraine Ouellette and Yvonne Henry.

She was predeceased by her parents; a brother, Robert Constant; and granddaughter, Renee LeBlanc.
