1947 – 2004
LEWISTON – Jeannine M. Spencer, 56, a resident of Main Street, East Wilton, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, at CMMC following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on June 5, 1947, in Lewiston, the daughter of Frank and Marguerite Couture Slovak. She was a graduate of Livermore Falls High School, class of 1965.
On Dec. 4, 1966, she married Brian Spencer of Strong. She had worked for Forster Manufacturing in Wilton, Franklin Shoe Co. in Farmington and Tambrands in Lewiston.
She enjoyed going to the coast, playing bingo and always looked forward to spending quiet time at her camp at Dummer’s Beach on Webb Lake. She was a devoted grandmother, who always took the time to attend her grandson’s many sporting events.
She is survived by her husband of Wilton; her mother of Livermore Falls; three daughters, Donna Spencer of Wilton, Deborah Holland of Jay and Cindy Davis of Lewiston; a brother, Ronald Slovak and his wife Barbara of Pawtucket, R.I.; a sister, Joyce Roma and her husband Pat of Newry; a son-in-law, Michael Moreau of Mechanic Falls; grandsons, Alex Spencer, Michael Holland, Ronald Holland III and Brannon Moreau; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
