LEWISTON – An 18-year-old woman from Lewiston struck a Farwell Elementary School teacher with her car Wednesday while the teacher was helping children across a crosswalk.

Olivia Lagrange told police she was blinded by the sun when she struck Leigh Lardieri, 41, of Lisbon Falls.

According to a police report, Lardieri was not seriously hurt, but complained of pain at the scene.

No charges are expected.
