PERU – The Families in Crisis Task Force will hold a community luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, at the Rockemeka Grange, 92 Peru Center Road. Donations will be accepted.

Historical society

RUMFORD – The Rumford Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, in the conference room of the Municipal building. Following a short business meeting, Patricia Hopkins will be featured as guest speaker. She will present “A Lithuanian family’s journey to America and to Rumford.” Refreshments will be served and the public is invited.

Winter concert

RUMFORD – The music department has announced the presentation of the annual winter concert. The concert will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, in the Muskie Auditorium at Mountain Valley High School. Featuring the concert band, chorus, jazz ensemble and select vocal group, the public is welcome. Donations will be accepted to defray the expenses and support the music program.

Alzheimer’s group

MEXICO – The Alzheimer’s support group will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, at the University College at 13 Brown St. For more information, contact Donna Landry at 364-3695.

Elder Issues

DIXFIELD – The next Elder Issues series will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, at Dixfield American Legion, off Main Street behind Holmes Market. The topic will be taking control of your bladder presented by Angela Dubuc, R.N., Bladder Control Center, Central Maine Medical Center. To pre-register call 562-4226. This is free to elders and their families presented by Elsemore Dixfield Center.
