1923 – 2004

LEWISTON – Reine “Irene” A. St. Pierre, 80, of 23 Forest St., Lewiston, died Thursday, Jan. 15, at Marshwood Health Care Facility.

Born in Lewiston, July 8, 1923, the daughter of Donat and Adrienne (Boutin) Tardif, she had been a resident of this community all of her life.

She was employed in the textile industry at the Bates Mill. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Church, Ladies of St. Anne of SS. Peter and Paul Parish, Horizon 55 and Covenant 50.

She took great pride in her two grandchildren and will be well remembered for her simple wisdom and generous spirit. The family would like to acknowledge the dedication of the staff at Marshwood Health Care Facility and especially the care and concern of the aids involved in the Alzheimer’s Unit.

She was the widow of Lorenzo St. Pierre, whom she married on July 12, 1943, and who died Sept. 12, 1987.

Survivors include one daughter, Giselle Prevost and her husband, Norman of Lewiston; one sister, Jacqueline Forgues and her husband, Raoul of Portland; two grandchildren, Danielle and Alain Prevost of Lewiston; and several nieces and nephews.
