AUBURN – Central Maine Community College has appointed two instructors to its automotive technology faculty.

Ruth Morrison of Raymond and Matthew Walsh of Lewiston will teach in the Ford ASSET program. Both are graduates of the program and have experience working as automotive technicians.

Morrison has 10 years experience in the automotive industry.

She holds a bachelor of science degree in applied technical leadership from the University of Southern Maine. Her teaching experience includes work with Women Unlimited.

Walsh has worked as an automotive technician since graduating from Hampden Academy in 1999.

The Ford ASSET program is a partnership with the Ford Motor Co. Program participants spend two years alternating between classroom instruction at the college and serving an internship at a Ford or Lincoln-Mercury dealership in New England. On completion of the program, they are awarded an associate in applied science degree in automotive technology.

Central Maine Community College has one of only two Ford ASSET programs in New England and accepts new students every fall.
