NEWTON, Mass. – Josh Didick drained 25 points to lead Mt. Ida College to a 80-67 win Sunday over the University of Maine at Farmington.

Scott Chamberlain added 18 points and 10 rebounds as the Mustangs used a 41-34 run in the second half to secure the victory.

The Beavers were led by Luke Nielson with 17 points while Steve Ginn and Trafton Teague added 13 points apiece.

Lasell 88, Thomas 60

NEWTON, Mass. – Steve Chambain scored 18 points to pace Lasell College to an 88-60 triumph over Thomas in men’s basketball action Sunday.

Demetrius DeJesus and Napolean Sanderford added 16 points each for the Lasers (10-0).

Ryan Conrad led the Terriers with 15 points and 12 rebounds.

Women’s basketball

THOMAS 66, lASELL 63

NEWTON, Mass. – Tammy Fowler torched the nets for a game-high 24 points and hauled down eight rebounds to lead Thomas College to a thrilling 66-63 win over Lasell College Sunday afternoon.

The Terriers (5-9) held a commanding 10-point margin at the end of the first half and had to withstand a charge in the second half to secure the victory.

The Lasers (4-7) were led by Mandi Rapisardi with 22 points.

Women’s hockey

RIT 3, USM 1

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Meghan Ericson scored the eventual game-winning goal with one second left in the second period to propel Rochester Institute of Technology to a 3-1 victory over the University of Southern Maine in women’s hockey action Sunday.

Ericson’s goal came on a feed from Nicole Gedney.

Kendra Bredlau opened the scoring at 55 seconds of the first period giving the Tigers (11-3-1) the early advantage.

The lone goal for the Huskies (6-6-1) came from Bevin Padgett with assists going to Kerry Leonard and Jessica Judge at 16:58 of the third period.
