1911 – 2004
STRONG – Freda D. Pillsbury, 92, of Burbank Hill Road in Strong, died Sunday, Jan. 18, following a short illness.
She was born in Quebec, Canada, on Aug. 20, 1911, the daughter of Alfred and Emily (Wintle) Drinkwine. She grew up in the Waterville area. On Oct. 10, 1929, she married Roy E. Deming, who passed away April 7, 1962. She latter married John Pillsbury of Farmington, who also predeceased her.
She lived in Strong for most of her adult life. She loved reading, painting, crocheting, and her computer.
Suvivors include her children, Celena Libby and her husband Norman of Florida, Frank Deming of East Wilton, Roy Deming Jr. and his wife Loretta of Strong, and Lola Goodwin of Temple; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her two husbands; and a daughter, Cora (Polly) Abbott in 1996.
