AUBURN – The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College will offer classes in QuickBooks beginning Tuesday, Jan. 27. Introduction to QuickBooks (CPT 059-21) will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and will run through Feb. 24.

QuickBooks Advanced (CPT 074-21) will run from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, April 6 through May 4. The cost of each class is $195, including materials. Classes will be held in Kirk Hall.

QuickBooks is the one of the most popular small-business computer accounting packages available. Participants will learn how to set up an accounting system for a company, manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, create invoices, bill customers, print checks and create financial statements. A basic understanding of Windows is recommended.

The class will be taught by Ken O’Brien. He owns a computer consulting company in Woolwich and specializes in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office and Web Design.
