1921 – 2004

LEWISTON – Simonne Aldea Doyon, 82, of 156 Main St., Auburn, died Monday, Jan. 19, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Haverhill, Mass., Sept. 26, 1921, the daughter of Alfred and Rosanna Rouseau Paquin, she worked in the textile industry.

Prior to her retirement, she and her husband were owners of several businesses in Connecticut, and Maine.

Her hobbies were her family, flea markets and crocheting. She always had a smile.

Survivors include one son, Larry and his wife, Donna Doyon of Minot; one daughter, Lorraine Gauthier of Sabattus; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Irene and Marthe of Quebec and Germaine Paradis of Lewiston; and five brothers, Silvyo, Clement, Renee, Germain and Raymond, all of Quebec.

She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Romeo L. Doyon; one daughter, Elaine; three brothers, Henri, Normand and Marcel Paquin; and one sister, Lisette Paquin Farley.
