1925 – 2004

PORTLAND – Beryl M. Gammon, 78, of 82 Bonney Road, East Sumner, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, Jan. 20, at Maine Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Turner Nov. 25, 1925, the daughter of Frank and Linna Richmond Davis. She was educated in Turner schools and was a lifelong resident of East Sumner.

She worked many years at Northland Apple growers while raising her large family. Her hobbies were arts, crafts, painting, gardening, bowling and attending her children and grandchildren’s sporting events.

She was a member of the Vineyard Fellowship Church of Mechanic Falls.

She leaves her husband of East Sumner, Roger W. Gammon whom she married April 6, 1947; six children, Reginald and wife Sue-Ellen Gammon of Auburn, Kenneth and wife Diane Gammon of Norway, Nicole Gammon of Auburn, Richard and wife Felicia Gammon of Auburn, Larry and wife Nadia Gammon of Virginia, and Karen and husband Larry Dan of East Sumner; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Carmen Elliott of Falmouth and Freda Phinney of Gorham; and one brother, Blaine Davis of Lisbon Falls.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Florence Peach and Phyllis Heikkinen; three brothers, Clifton Richmond, Francis Davis and Byron Davis.
