RANGELEY – Tristen Brackett deposited 12 points to lead Buckfield to a 68-27 victory over Rangeley Wednesday afternoon.

At the half, the Bucks (9-3) were steaming ahead by 27 points – total number of points scored in all four quarters by Rangeley.

For Rangeley’s (7-3) effort, David Jenson poured in a game-high 20 points.

Pine Tree 64,

Eastgate 48

NEW GLOUCESTER- Jared Verrill tallied a game-high 25 points to lead Pine Tree to a 64-48 victory over Eastgate Christian Academy Wednesday afternoon.

Chris Gapford hit for 11 points and two 3-pointers to aid Pine Tree.

Nate Damm tied Verrill with a game-high 25 points for the Eagles (2-11).

Girls’ basketball

Kents Hill 48, Hyde 38

BATH- Olivia Clukey drained 22 points and chipped in with seven steals to lead Kents Hill to a 48-38 victory over Hyde in high school girls’ basketball Wednesday.

Alleigh Mills deposited 10 points and pull down nine rebounds to aid the Huskies (9-0).

For the Phoenix, Neddy Hurd poured in 17 points and Sarah Flint dropped in an additional 10. Hurd had two 3-pointers as well.

Rangeley 54,

Buckfield 31

RANGELEY – Rangeley jumped out to a 16-2 lead after one quarter and never looked back to defeat Buckfield 54-31 Wednesday night.

Krysteen Romero led the Lakers (9-0) with 17 points. Desiree Brackett scored 12 points for the Bucks (1-11).

Pine Tree 40,

Eastgate 39

NEW GLOUCESTER- Brittany Lounder dropped in a team-high 12 points and scored the winning basket with 18 seconds remaining in the game to lead Pine Tree to their 40-39 win over Eastgate Christian Academy Wednesday night.

Rachel Houtman also tallied 11 points for Pine Tree (7-6).

For the Eagles (10-3), Haley Veilleux tallied a game-high 19 points and haul down 10 rebounds.
