BOSTON – Miroslav Satan scored two late goals to give Buffalo a 3-2 victory over the Boston Bruins on Thursday night, snapping the Sabres’ six-game road winless streak.

Buffalo ended a three-game losing streak and won for only the second time in its last six games.

The Sabres also ended Boston’s six-game home unbeaten streak.

Satan gave Buffalo a 2-1 lead with 6:20 left, beating goalie Andrew Raycroft with a wrister from the slot on the Sabres first shot on goal in the period. Satan added an empty-net goal, his 17th of the season, with 1:10 to go to make it 3-1.

Mike Knuble completed the scoring, beating Martin Biron with 5.5 seconds left.

Knuble has 14 goals so far this season.

Boston’s Glen Murray tied it at 1 at the 8:11 mark of the third with a soft shot through goalie Biron’s pads.

Rory Fitzpatrick gave Buffalo a 1-0 lead when his slap shot from the blue line beat Raycroft at 11:35 of the first period.

Biron made 23 saves for Buffalo.

Raycroft kept the Bruins in the game when he foiled a pair of great opportunities for Buffalo through the first two periods.

He robbed Milan Bartovic on a breakaway midway through the first period, and made a pad save on Derek Roy in the second.
