NEW GLOUCESTER – Pineland Farms and Maine Winter Sports Center (MWSC) are pleased to announce Kat Bennett as the newest member of the Maine Winter Sports Center Team.
She will be working with Phil Savignano as the Healthy Hometowns assistant coach for Southern Maine. Since its beginning in 1999, the Healthy Hometowns Ski Program has focused on accessibility, sustainability and creating a healthier environment for the children and their families with an emphasis on personal accountability.
Bennett has an extensive ski dossier. She began her skiing career on the Yarmouth High School varsity team winning many accolades including a place on the All State Team from 1997-99.
She continued to ski competitively as a member of Bates College varsity nordic ski team from 1999-2003, was named captain and received the Lloyd Lux Award during her senior year.
Pineland Farms is 2,500 acre working farm, business campus and educational and recreational venue in New Gloucester.
