BRIDGTON – On Jan. 1, John Ludwig, R.N., vice president of administration at Bridgton Hospital, became president at the Greater Bridgton Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce.

Ludwig is a graduate of St. Louis University where he obtained his BSN. He earned his masters in health care administration at Lindenwood University.

He is a U.S. Air Force veteran who worked as pediatric nurse and emergency trauma transport team member.

He joined Bridgton Hospital in 2001 from St. Joseph Hospital West, a 100-bed acute care facility in St. Louis, Mo., where he was administrative director of nursing administration.

Mike McClellan, executive director of the GBLRCC, said the Chamber is an organization of the leading business and professional people in the Lakes Region working to further economic development, community pride and civic responsibility.

The volunteer organization strives to promote and develop the economic base of the region for the benefit of the community.
