BETHEL, Vt. (AP) – Foul play was involved in the death of a Bethel woman, police said on Saturday.
Police said they were treating the death of Kathryn Kimmick, 41, as highly suspicious.
“I would say that it is clear, based on the mounting evidence, that foul play is involved,” said Lt. Ray Keefe.
Kimmick’s body was at her apartment Friday afternoon. She was last seen on Jan. 18, police said.
Police started to investigate her whereabouts when her two children who are under age 10 were not picked up at school earlier in the week, Keefe said.
Police ruled the death suspicious based on evidence gathered from the community and found in her car and apartment.
An autopsy will likely be performed Monday, Keefe said.
