PORTLAND, Ore. – Jason Richardson scored 31 points, including seven 3-pointers, and the Golden State Warriors stopped a 12-game road losing streak by beating Portland 105-87 Saturday.

Erick Dampier had 20 rebounds and 18 points for the Warriors. Speedy Claxton added 15 points, seven assists and five steals. Golden State was 11-of-17 on 3-pointers and shot 50 percent overall. The Warriors had lost 11 in a row at Portland, dating to 1998.

Cavaliers 95, 76ers 87

CLEVELAND – Eric Williams scored 20 points, Dajuan Wagner added 17 and the Cleveland Cavaliers finally slowed down Allen Iverson in the fourth quarter for a 95-87 win Saturday night over the Philadelphia 76ers.

Carlos Boozer had 15 points and 15 rebounds as the Cavs improved to 2-1 without rookie star LeBron James, who missed his third straight game with a sprained right ankle.

Heat 85, Knicks 77

NEW YORK – Coach Stan Van Gundy walked down the sideline in the final seconds exchanging high fives with his assistants and players after his Miami Heat shut down Stephon Marbury and the New York Knicks 85-77 Saturday night.

Eddie Jones scored 26 points, including a jumper that put Miami ahead for good with 3:03 remaining, and added six assists – the last of which clinched the victory with 40 seconds remaining.

Wizards 107, Pacers 96

WASHINGTON – Kwame Brown had a career-high 25 points and nine rebounds, and the Washington Wizards shot 63 percent in the first half and held on to beat the Indiana Pacers 107-96 Saturday night.

Brown made eight of 12 shots, nine of 10 free throws and had the better in a matchup against fellow straight-out-of-high-schoolers Jermaine O’Neal and Al Harrington. Brown, who has struggled for consistency over much of his career, is averaging 13 points a game.
