LEWISTON – In conjunction with The Public Theatre, Club W! will host a special preview engagement of the upcoming play, “Marvin’s Room,” on Thursday, Jan. 29.

Members and non-members are invited to attend the special event. Prior to the opening curtain at 7 p.m., the public is invited to attend a Club W! reception with complimentary light refreshments.

According to the New York Times, “Marvin’s Room” is “one of the funniest plays of the year as well as one of the wisest and most moving.” Winner of the 1991 Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off-Broadwa y play, “Marvin’s Room” is a hilarious and wondrous account of one woman’s commitment to loving others first.

Tickets for the special showing can be reserved by calling The Public Theatre at 782-3200 at $12.50 a person. Club W! will have raffles and refreshments at 6 p.m. in the theatre lobby.
