AUBURN – James P. Day has joined the Board of Directors of Northeast Bancorp.
Day is well-known in the Lewiston/Auburn area as the president of LRI Inc., formerly Lewiston Raceways. He and his father led the development of several businesses and real estate development at the old raceway. Several well-known developments include Spare-Time Recreation, Jim’s Jungle restaurant/Porter’s restaurant, the Career Center for the Department of Labor, Bureau of Motor Vehicles new location and several other State of Maine offices, and Per Se Technologies, formerly Medaphis Physician Services.
“We feel that Jim is a perfect addition to our board, bringing years of experience in the commercial development of the Lewiston/Auburn area,” said board Chairwoman Judy Kelley.
Kelley is the president of Consumers Maine Water Co., and an Auburn native, the daughter of Lost Valley owner Otto Wallingford.
Day attended Phillips Academy at Andover, Brown University and Boston University Law School. He is a resident of Lewiston with his wife, Filomena, and daughter Jillian.
