NATICK, Mass. – The Better Business Bureau Inc. announced nominations are open for the local Torch Award for Excellence.

The award recognizes outstanding businesses that demonstrate high standards of behavior toward customers, employees, suppliers, shareholders and communities; adherence to truthful advertising and sales practices; and an earned reputation for noteworthy contributions to their industries and the communities they serve.

All businesses located within the bureau service area of Maine, Vermont and eastern Massachusetts, who meet award criteria are encouraged to apply. Winners of the award compete in the Council of Better Business Bureaus’ International Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics.
