Oxford Hills edges Morse

BATH – Corey Tielinen netted 19 points Tuesday night to propel Oxford Hills to a 55-52 victory over Morse in boys’ basketball action.

The Vikings trailed 29-16 at the half but rallied back with a 25-point fourth quarter to seal the win.

Matt McDonnell chipped in for the Vikings (11-1) with 12 points, while Thomas Kothe added 10.

Brandon Sewall poured a game-high 28 points to lead the Shipbuilders (7-5).

Rangeley 63, Averill 29

RANGELEY – Jim Goodwin tallied a game-high 21 points and hauled down 13 rebounds to give Rangeley a 63-29 advantage over Averill Tuesday afternoon.

David Jensen added 12 points for the Lakers (8-5) and Tyler Philbrick chipped in with 10 points. At the half, the Lakers were ahead by 19 points, then sped ahead to confirm the win.

For the Beavers (1-15), Ryan Lamontange deposited 13 points.

Maranacook 73,

Oak Hill 52

WALES – Matt St. John scored 15 points to pace Maranacook to a 73-52 rout over Oak Hill in a boys’ basketball matchup Tuesday.

Kaleb Violett chipped in for the Bears (10-4) with 11 points, while Jogan Garrity added 10.

Adam Labbe led the Raiders (1-13) with a game-high 17 points, while Troy Tracey tallied 12 and Joey Hinkley added 10.

Jay 57, Dirigo 37

JAY – Shawn Fry scored 16 points and hauled down 9 rebounds to lead Jay to a 57-37 victory over Dirigo .

Brad Loon chipped in with 13 points and six rebounds for the Tigers (13-2).

For the Cougers, Craig Langervin tallied a game-high 19 points.

Mt. Abram 67, Monmouth 38

SALEM – Frank Hayes drained 19 points and hauled down 10 rebounds to lead Mt. Abram to a 67-38 win over Monmouth in MVC boys’ basketball action Tuesday.

Mt. Abram jumped out to a 35-17 lead at the half and never trailed thereafter.

Jordan Norton chipped in for the Roadrunners (5-10) with 15 points, while Sterling Pingree added 13.

Mark Wade led the Mustangs (2-13) with 13 points, while Scott Ogden added 10.

Livermore Falls 76, Carrabec 44

LIVERMORE FALLS- Brad Bryant scored his first career triple-double with 22 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists to lead Livermore Falls to a 76-44 triumph over winless Carrabec in high school boys’ hoops action.

Mike Chamard chipped in for the Andes (3-11) with 13 points.

Brandon Coutts poured in 21 points for the Cobras (0-15). Travis Yann followed with 14 points.

Gardiner 63, Leavitt 62

TURNER – Craig Touluse found the net with less than two seconds remaining in regulation to lift Gardiner to a 63-62 win over Leavitt in a KVAC hoops matchup.

Sean McNally led the Tigers (1-11) with a game-high 40 points, while Seth Antognoni chipped in with 14.

Dan Berry led the Hornets (0-12) with 18 points, while Brandon Powell tallied 14 and Tom Lilley added 10.

Falmouth 66,

St. Dom’s 58

FALMOUTH – Bryant Barr poured in a game-high 27 points to power Falmouth to a 66-58 triumph over St. Dom’s in overtime.

Dan Forcella chipped in with 14 points for the Yachtsmen.

For the Saints’ (11-2) attempt, Chris Rainville deposited 18 points and scored five 3-pointers. Jeremy Richardson who also tallied five 3-pointers and 15 points.

Messalonskee 58, Lewiston 57

LEWISTON – Isaac Hutchinson fired a game-high 21 points to lift Messalonskee to a 58-57 victory.

Joe Bowdoin also tallied 10 points for the Eagles (9-1).

Nick Beauchesne had 15 points and four assists for the Devils (4-6). Beauchesne scored all his points during the second half, and scored all of the Devils’ nine points in the fourth quarter.

Buckfield 62, Waynflete 39

BUCKFIELD – Scott Wetherell poured in 18 points as Buckfield coasted to a 62-39 victory over Waynflete.

Jamie Henderson added 13 for the Bucks, which saw nine players get into the scoring column. Buckfield (8-5) exploded for 22 points in the first period and never looked back, holding the Flyers to four points in the first quarter and 12 in the half.

Lance Callender scored a game-high 29 points for Waynflete (0-13).
