JAY – Gail Mae Morgan, 53, a resident of Stone Street in Jay, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, following a two-year long illness.
Born in Rumford, March 6, 1950, the daughter of George E. Sr. and Lilla Hodgson Taylor, she attended Stephens High School.
On Feb. 28, 1970, she married Robert Morgan in Dixfield. She worked for International Paper Co. in Jay in 4 and 5 Shipping Dept., retiring in 2003.
She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Rumford and the I.P. Quarter Century Club. She enjoyed camping, traveling and the outdoors.
Survivors include her husband of Jay; her mother, Lilla Gillis of Rumford; a son, Michael Morgan and his wife, Jennifer of Livermore; two daughters, Rebecca Grivois and her husband, John of Jay and Monica Morgan of Jay; a stepdaughter, Kathy Bourget and her husband, David of Minot; two brothers, George Taylor and his wife, Myrtle of Livermore Falls and Lewis Taylor of Seattle, Wash.; five sisters and their husbands, Beth and Michael Soubble, Thelma and Linwood Giberson, Jennith and Chris Glover, Ruth and John Hunt and Rose and Dennis Bradley; one grandchild; and three stepgrandchildren.
She was predeceased by her father; and a sister, Wendy Gillis.
