LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Economic Growth Council has announced its 9th Annual Androscoggin Business to Business Trade Show will be held June 17 at Bates College.

In addition to its traditional trade show format at Bates’ Gray Athletic Building, show organizers are exploring the feasibility of adding a Made in L-A pavilion near the show venue. In addition, the After Hours event co-sponsored by the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce will be revamped to accommodate more people.

“Many people from across the state don’t realize all the successful companies – big and small – doing business in L-A,” said Paul Badeau, marketing director for the Growth Council and the Trade Show. “A number of companies manufacture products or add value to numerous goods and services sold around the world.

The Androscoggin Business to Business Trade Show is the largest and most successful show of its kind in the state. It has sold out for four consecutive years and attracts nearly 200 exhibitors and an estimated 2,000 plus attendees.

Over the years, the show has attracted exhibitors and attendees from as far away as Massachusetts, and participants continue to make their displays more elaborate. Companies use the show for branding, launching new products, announcing initiatives or expansions, gathering sales leads, or simply sending a message that they have a major presence in the area.

The show includes a kick-off breakfast, also co-sponsored by the chamber, along with a number of seminars with timely topics. A business card is required for entry. A number of big-ticket prizes will also be raffled this year.

Sponsors and exhibitors wishing to participate in the show should contact Badeau at 784-0161.
