The Oxford Hills Chapter of AARP is participating in a one-day trip Thursday, March 4, to see a flower show in Portland.
After lunch at Governor’s Restaurant, the group will go on a guided tour of Special Exhibits at the Portland Museum of Art or spend an afternoon shopping at the Christmas Tree Shop and Michael’s.
There will be a 7:30 a.m. departure from Oxford – Ames parking lot – for Scarborough Downs and the People, Places & Plants 2004 Spring Flower & Garden Show.
Participants will depart the show at noon for lunch at Governor’s Restaurant.
After lunch, members of the group may choose to shop or enjoy a guided tour of the exhibit An Artful Bouquet of Flowers and also the fully restored federal-era building, The McLellan House, both at the Portland Museum of Art.
Participants will depart at 4 p.m. and return to Oxford about 5 p.m. For reservations call Walter or Henrietta Taft at 743-6722.
