1923 – 2004

LEWISTON – Cecile P. Michaud, 80, of the Roak Block, a former long time resident of 8 Harris St., died Monday, Feb. 2, at d’Youville Pavilion with her family by her side.

Born in Lewiston on Aug. 31, 1923, the daughter of Emile and Henedine (Gagne) Poulin and she had been a resident of this community all her life.

On Nov. 6, 1941, she married Claude J. Michaud who died Dec. 30, 1984. She worked in the local textile mills as a quilt finisher until her retirement. She was a member of the local Crafters Organization, Lewiston Senior Citizens, Holy Cross Senior Citizens and Marchands de Bonheure.

Her family will remember her most as a devoted mother and memere to both her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Connie Chicoine of Lisbon and Doris St. Pierre of West Minot; three sisters, Mrs. Rene (Dorianne) Doyon of Lewiston, Mrs. Maurice (Marielle) St. Hilaire of Sabattus and Mrs. Charles (Liette) LeBrasseur of Lewiston; four grandchildren, Sherri Richard of Monmouth, Heidi Flores of Montville, Eric and Kevin St. Pierre both of Auburn; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband she was predeceased by a brother, Real Poulin; and a sister, Yolande Castonguay.
