1909 – 2004

LEWISTON – Roy H. Hall, 94, died Monday, Feb. 2, at Russell Park Manor.

He was born on Feb. 4, 1909, in Mt. Vernon, the son of Herbert M. and Florence (Creasy) Hall. He was educated in the schools of Mt. Vernon and Kents Hill. During World War II he worked in BIW Shipyard.

In 1943, he moved to West Bates Street in Auburn, building his home there. On April 8, 1928, he married Goldie Merrick. He had a long and varied career which included 20+ years as a boiler installer and service repairman.

He also loved the outdoors and lovingly grew and maintained his garden for than 50 years. He was a member of the NRA, Prospect Hill Golf Course Senior League and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He cared for people, aminals and he would go out of his way to help anyone he could. He was well known, loved by friends, neighbors and will be greatly missed by all.

He is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Danforth of Wilton; five grandchildren, Charlotte Hackett, Gregory and Jeffery Hall, Michael and Rebecca Danforth.

He was predeceased by his wife; two daughters, Phyllis Crocker and Elizabeth Hall; a brother, Benjamin Albert Hall; and a sister, Rose Alma Libby.
