LEWISTON – Ten individuals from Farmington and surrounding communities just completed 27 hours of training to become Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice volunteers.

One volunteer said, “The training has been a great experience. I really enjoyed meeting everyone and listening to the speakers.”

New volunteers are Joanne Moloney, Farmington; Marie Poulin, Jay; Beatrice DiSotto, Jay; Maria James, Industry; Donna Peare, Jay; Joe Poulin, Livermore Falls; Roger Condit, Farmington; Irene Castonguay, Livermore; Beverly Winchenbach, Livermore Falls; and Julie Shible, Farmington.

Nancy Greene is the hospice volunteer doordinator.

Hospice volunteers are a diverse group of various ages and walks of life. The next training will be held in Lewiston beginning Tuesday, Feb. 10, and there are still some openings. Call Greene at 777-7740 or 1-800-482-7412 for more information and to sign up.
