1913 – 2004

LEWISTON – Marguerite E. Yargeau, 90, formerly of Lisbon died Tuesday evening, Feb. 3, at St. Marguerite d’Youville Pavilion.

She was born in Newburyport, Mass., March 21, 1913, the daughter of Gedeon and Eva Gosselin Gagnon. She was educated in Massachusetts schools and later married Alfred Yargeau on May 6, 1934. He died Aug. 31, 1966.

Mrs. Yargeau was a member of the former St. Anne’s Church in Lisbon, now Holy Trinity Church in Lisbon Falls. Among her interests was gardening, having enjoyed her plants and flowers. She also loved animals but her greatest pleasure in life however was spending time with her family and friends.

She will be greatly missed but always remebered by her son, Daniel and his wife Carmen of Rochester, N.Y.; her special daughter, Linda Jordan and her husband Forrest of Lisbon; four grandchildren, Michael and his wife Michele of Holley, N.Y., Phillip and his wife Patricia of Rochester, N.Y., Andrew and his wife Alice of Derby, N.Y., and Lynn Marie LoPresti and her husband James of Rochester, N.Y.; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters who so lovingly cared for her, Therese Baumer of Lewiston, and Estelle Lallier of Lewiston.

She was predeceased by one sister; and four brothers.
