LEWISTON – Mystery for Hire is extending its run of “Marriage Can Be Murder” at Marco’s with an additional performance on Friday, Feb. 13.

The show is a murder mystery dinner theater that takes place amid the craziness of an Italian wedding.

Audience members are encouraged to take notes as they watch the mystery unfold. When a crime takes place, they become amateur detectives who try to figure out whodunnit.

“This may be the last time we do the marriage show for a while,” said said Dan Marois, who with his wife, Denise, operate Mystery for Hire, a Maine-based professional troupe, which specializes in murder-mystery dinner theater.

On Feb. 28, Mystery for Hire opens a new show, “Stress Can Kill,” which takes place at a stress reduction seminar. The show is written by Pat Black, a South Paris based playwright. The show will run March 6 and 27 and April 24 at Marco’s.

Tickets for mystery shows at Marco’s are $34.95 per person. That includes the show, buffet, tax and gratuity. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the show starting at 7 p.m. For reservations, people can phone Marco’s at 783-0336.

Information about the theater troupe is available at www.mysteryforhire.com.
