Lewiston – Mary Leavitt, vice president and senior trust administrator, Androscoggin Trust & Investment Services, was awarded the certified trust and financial advisor designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers.
The designation is awarded to individuals who demonstrate excellence in the field of trust and investment management.
Since 1993, Leavitt has served as Androscoggin Bank’s senior trust operations officer, overseeing operations of the trust and investment services division. In 2000, Leavitt graduated from the Trust Program of the New England School of Banking. In 1998, she earned a certified securities operations professional designation, an award for excellence in the field of securities operations.
Before joining Androscoggin Bank, she was employed at Fleet Bank as a trust officer and investment services officer. To qualify for the CTFA certification, individuals must have certain levels of experience and education in the trust profession, pass an exam and agree to abide by a code of ethics.
A resident of Turner, Leavitt is a member of the Olde House & Garden Club and volunteers in Turner schools and the Turner Public Library. She and her husband, David Rogers, have two daughters, Cassea and Caiden.
